Just checking, your are using the App Loader correct, not the DM. and what OS is on your PC, XP or Vista. For some reason I have had trouble with XP and had to use my Vista PC, which is weird.

Hey Zero,
Not sure if your post was for me but, I am using Vista x64.
Bryan, I will try again here in a little bit. Do you know if the other people got it to load on their BB's? If so did they list what they did to finally get it to work?
Thanks, Robert

If you're asking me, yes I am using the app loader. I have tried on a XP, vista, and win7 machine.Originally Posted by zerog46
Okay, I tried again and get this result:
"Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation.
Application data could not be restored to the device. The backup data file has been saved to "G:\BBTools\LoaderBackup-(2009-08-30).ipd". You can use the Desktop Manager Backup/Restore tool to restore this information."
Right now it is in the repeating red LED like it is trying to reboot. The device does not connect to the laptop.
I used BBSAK to do a wipe after validating proper connection. Then hist Load OS and selected what to install. Came back and saw the result above. I am going to try one more time and them if it does not work, go back to Irtehun's hybrid and wait for an official release, I guess.

Read through this link and verify the steps have been taken
Unable to connect to the BlackBerry smartphone during a multistage loading operation
there seems to be quite a few over on CB that are having the same problem. It just doesn't make any sense. I can install 140 just fine on mine but 191 is a no go. I've tried everything i can think of all suggestions I've read from people.
Its just not meant to be for some people I guess  I'm gonna mess with it some more tomorrow at work. Should be a slow day just a few meetings. If I cant get it to work then I'm just gonna give up![]()
For the heck of it try installing the 4.7 OS then try and install the 5.0. see if that works.
Zero,
Tried the stock 4.7.1.40 last yesterday afternoon and got the same result.
Bryan, I went thru all the USB settings and power management is not on for them. I suppose I could try to use the bb dock with wall charger as the power source and then connect he USB as usual for the data connection. Any thoughts on this idea before I try it.
I am currently back to a base Irtehun OS 5 140 hybrid which loaded without issue.
Well tried again using the BB Charging Dock as main power source just in case there was an USB power but still got the same error and constant device reboot/red led. Going back to the hybrid OS5 and will let it go for now until something else comes along. What worries me is that when a final release it out based on 191 or later, that my device and maybe the others who are having the same issue will have the same problem and not be able to upgrade. I of course would go straight to a VZW corp store here in town and see if they can update it.
If any updates or resolutions to this problem occur, I hope they are posted here. As I will be checking often.
Thanks all, Robert
Can someone please help me out and post a link for the OS 5.0.0.191 WITHOUT the RIM Internal Tools? I'd greatly appreciate it! I have it on my Tour already but my computer HDD failed this weekend and I didn't keep the copy of it anywhere and now I have to reload my phone!
Thanks everyone!
The 5.0 looked pretty sweet but i just couldnt part with BBM 5.0 considering i rely on it pretty heavily. I ended up downgrading and i guess wait for another leak thats much more compatible.
Why is it when i click on both the download links i get the following error: This file is suspected to contain illegal content and has been blocked.
