Thread: Where are the beta's?

Where are the beta's? I know the Tour hasn't been out that long, but we are on 4.7.1.40 and 4.7.1.58 is the latest known OS other than the 5.0 stuff. But I would expect something would be sneaking out by now, or has my expectations become too high from my Storm OS leaks? What I am really hoping for is more Hybrid work but we need a leak.

I understand. The person who leaked 5.0 for the Storm also has 5.0 for the Tour. I think perhaps he is laying low at the moment because RIM took serious action against the 5.0 leak. I'm sure we'll see leaks but we all just have to patient until we do so.

I think people often forget the risks these people take by leaking this software. I'm sure RIM has taken steps to make leaking harder than it used to be and with that being said, I'm sure the punishment is a lot stiffer if you get caught. Point is, these people risk their lively hood to bring you this early software.

Not something I would feel comfortable doing and with the way the world's economy is I can't believe anyone would.

I know that I truly appreciated all those who leaked the OS's and it wasn't lost on my RIM is likely hunting them down, but it is like getting hooked on crack with the amount of leaks we had been seeing for so long it just gets harder each day to run stock or slightly modified stock.

I would feel better, happier if we could expect Verizon to push the 5.0 updates out for the Tour at least when the Storm 2 launches since they will both be relatively new by that time.

I for one don't want anyone to get fire or sued by RIM, but it just hard to not get a cool hybrid nearly everyday/
