Thread: Maybe n00b question but I seem to have found a newer version: 5.0.0.1675 ?

Am I missing something? If 5.0.0.1030 is the latest version, why does the download page says: "BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.1675 (Multilanguage)"?

If someone could please enlighten me, it would make me feel a little more sane

It may be that 5.0.0.1030 is the latest that your carrier is offering. I know that my carrier is WAY behind in releasing upgrades for my Torch in that there are certain things that AT&T wants to be sure the the OS upgrade is in sync with what they offer.
You can download an "official" OS upgrade and install it to your Tour. I found v5.0.0.1675 here.

JayAaroBe, what you saw was the package version. Operating systems are called by their App version (see bold below). So OS 5.0.0.1030 is the latest release for your device. You can download it here... 9630_5.0.0.1030 - Downloads - BlackBerry Forums
