a half day into this build and it has been rock solid for me. just installed on my wifes phone and no issues with hers either. haven't had the holstering issue or any app conflicts or lag of any sort.
could this mean that the 9650 is any closer to comin out from VZW? i doubt it, but hey, i can dream........if its not out by march 15, im going to have to bite the bullet and go for the 8530
Okay, so I've had it installed for a day now. Things I've noticed:
1) It doesn't like Meterberry. Scheduled reset now has to be confirmed, despite having all permissions set to "allow."
2) Once or twice, I've had to refresh a page on the browser, as I would be unable to click on any link. The link would highlight, but nothing happened when I would click on it.
3) Overall, gained about 10 meg of memory, which is always nice.
4) To echo what a lot of people have said, overall much snappier. Opera mini flies, in particular.
5) Haven't experienced anything in the way of random reboots (but I also don't holster it).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was reported yesterday that part of the reboot issues are a conflict with berrybuzz. The issue is with the profile .cod's within the .530 os. We at bellshare will not be reacting to this as it is only a beta leak. If vzw gives it the go ahead and mark it as official we will entertain a fix
One of my friends found this fix I believe originally posted on @bbhybrids. You will need the following files from either .509 leak for the 8900/9000
net_rim_bb_profiles_tunes.cod
net_rim_bb_profiles_alertengine_app.cod
net_rim_bb_profiles_app.cod
net_rim_bb_profiles_app_new.cod
net_rim_bb_profiles_lib.cod
I do not know if this will correct the holster issue as well. I will not be loading this os. I'm not a hybrid fan
I too will not be using this build and I'm still rocking the .419 leak and its running perfectly. :hail:
Anyone having issues with their spell check?
This for me has been by far the best release, hybrid, leaked or official by far. Haven't had any issues or any lag what so ever. Everything has been running crisp and internet, both native and opera, has been surprisingly quick. Maybe I'm just having dumb luck but hey, I'm not gonna complain.

I think I'm going to give it a spin tonight, maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones and not have the reboots. BTW I did not receive the Alert from BBOS on the leak until the next day, close to 24 hours after it leaked.
Good Luck...let us know how you like it, and if we can help....
I don't know what happened with bbOSalert on this OS, as I have a storm2, but a bunch of OS's fell about the same time.
Anyone notice with this OS that sometimes the native browser doesn't respond (repeatedly) when you try to click on a link?
I have this installed but do not use BerryBuzz and have experienced the reboot issue. I do however have BBweather installed and use the updated homescreen icon (shows the current weather on the home screen). I moved BBweather so it doesn't show on my homescreen anymore and no more reboot. It seems to me that its anything on the homescreen that updates like BBweather, berrybuzz,.. cause the reboot.
EDIT: Scratch that, it worked for a little while but now its rebooting everytime I holster.

530 is working great. I am getting the holster reboots, but I found an easy fix. Took an old holster and removed the magnet! Only took a couple of minutes and no more reboot! I tried BerryBuzz a few months ago, but didn't think it was worth the cost in memory so I don't use it. All my other 3rd party apps seem to be playing nice. I turned off the scheduled reboot in MeterBerry based on what I read, when I loaded 530 and have not have had time to test it. All in all works great.
Has anyone having holster reboot issues tried just setting the option to lock in holster to 'no' ?
