Thread: OS 5.0.0.419 for the Tour 9630 Findings & Fixes

just downloaded bout to do a clean install. hoprfully all goes well lol.........

Hi i've tried to load numerous 5.0 leaks on my tour but it always fails saying "failed to load during multi-stage operation" will i get there error with this leak too? if so is there any way to fix it?? thanks for help in advance

Do you have to dump the blackberry to install the new OS? Why cant you just install over it?

ok just installed, and restored everything and its on its 5th reboot. now im bout to play with it

im still playin with everything, checking to c what works and doesn't work. everything seems to b great on this build except for my sprint navigation askin me to set my permissions to allow and save, i done just that and after a couple times it just takes me to the home screen, then when i go to use it again i have to do the same thing lol. but other then that it seems to b sturdy.

Has anyone tried this with T-MO yet. I have a buddy that is running .61 and when we tried .230 he was getting the no circuit/channel error but he doesnt get it with .61 so just curious if anyone has tried it.

If you ask me, it sounds like an issue with your computer. I would try uninstalling and reinstalling Desktop Manager.

I am in the process of loading 419. Will let you know how it goes and what I noticed, if anything, different

Ok, everything went smooth just have 1 problem. I am unable to restore my 3rd party apps using BBSAK. It say "apps restored" but where are they?

I used the "Install COD" option and just loaded them 1 at a time. They all went in. Now, on to the testing......

Right off the bat, I notice the 3G icon on top is gone and replaced with a 1X. I also notice that the browser speed and downloading is very slow. I am in a good area that is always been fast for me in the past, so I know it is not that.

Anyone else notice this or know how to fix?

Sounds like you are getting just 1X coverage and not 1XEV/3G.. reboot it

It says 1XEV. Is that what I want?

So far so good, I had no problems installing my 3rd party apps. Is there a hybrid for this build yet lol. Something else I noticed once I restored everything (3rd party apps and such) I didn't have to redownload everything like Facebook, sprint nav, etc SWEET.........

I just installed this OS and was curious why there is a new icon called "Desktop" and what happened to the Task and Memo icons? I sync them with my MS Outlook and was hoping to keep them. Any one have any thoughts?

Try to select 'show all' on the desktop

That was the first thing i tried. when i go into the Options -> Applications, it's not listed either. Any other suggestions?

I had the same error that shremi, it was solved after the first reboot!

Another issue that still remains from 4.7 and now in 5.0.0.419 its about Beejive 2.0.2

The option for Profile / Alerts of Oters
Beejive are missing after reboot (battery pull), I don´t know if this issue comes from OS or Beejive.

hope that the problem with the ringtones random resetting its solved in this version of BBOS. Still no show, i have only 4 hours of use this leak !

I was just able to resolve this by using the loader.exe. The To Do list and MemoPad weren't added when i installed the OS.
