Reboot time run faster..

There is a bit of a lag to wake up my screen. But I can deal with that since Viigo scrolling works again!!

It seems like some of the issues I had with .230 have been tweaked and resolved. For instance, you can delete prior sms/txts all at one time using "delete prior" whereas on .230 you couldn't. Sprint Nav actually works instead of telling you that GPS isn't "on". And the provisioning works, so you can update your profile and PRL.

I am running .230, if I upgrade to this one do I loose all my settings? Is this an upgrade or is it like installing a whole new OS?

You can back up and restore your settings using Desktop Manager.

So.....is it worth the upgrade?

Maybe someone can help me with this , i upgraded today , and everithing was so weird on the update process, Apploader gave me a lot of errors and i couldnt load this OS . No problem i manage to load it with a different PC.

Now heres something weird i live in mexico , and lets say that i want to call someone i just dial the number, i can do this also via the phonebook , but whenever i recive a call from one of my contacts on the display shows me the number only not the name , it is like 55 and then the number of the contact that i have registrated , i dont have to dial like that, thts why i dont save them like that.i Know it has to do something with the prefix or something like that.

Never had something like that happen. Only thing I can think of is to make sure the number in your address book matches the number thats calling.

if you got errors after install this is the cure (I'm assuming you have Os 07419 already installed on your pc)
1-back up your phone you can use DM
2-wipe your phone so you can make a clean install
3-disconnect from pc
4-pull the media card and leave it out
5- make a battery pull wait a minute or two
6- put the battery back
7- when you get the error screen that says install os , connect the phone to pc
8- go to:C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and double click on loader icon
9- be patient
10-when os is loaded and running, open Dm and restore using the previous back up
11- disconnect from pc ,turn the phone off
12- pull battery off
13- install media card .and put battery back
14- enjoy a fresh install of the best leak so far THE NICE .419

Hmm, I seem to be having an issue with finding contacts. If I'm on the home screen and I start dialing someone's name or number it comes back with "No Results Found" (blank.) I can only access my contacts by manually scrolling through the address book :irked: I seem to remember this being an issue with another beta release.

What are some of the differences between 230 and 419? I am trying to see if it is worth it to do the upgrade.....

Ok, i just downloaded and installed the O.S. i was first impressed with the boot up time has improved. However when it boots up im missing any of the web based icons, browser and email setup. I registered the host routing table but nothing changed. I used BBSAK to brick the phone and reloaded the OS again. And its all back and working. Just so if anyone else has similar problems just reload and its all good!!

Yes i speak spanish and english both

I think i can just add to every contact 55 before the number and it will show them when i recive calls.

Is there a way to do it faster than in the phone without using , outlook or something because i have all of my buisness contacts there and i dont want them mixing with my personal contacts.

The calendar is annoying me. They have added a BBM Groups calendar that is the "Send Using:" default. I DON'T want that as my default!

You might be able to change that in the default services option. Not 100% sure where that is though. Maybe in the advanced options...

I've looked around in the Calendar options and in BBM to no avail.
