5.0.0.303 for the 9630 Findings & Fixes

Some folks have been using 303 as a base OS for irtehun's hybrids, but I think most have changed the radio first to either 191 or 230. In any case, most, if not all, of the 303 files are removed in the hybrid anyway.

I'm running irtehun's 7.15 hybrid over 230 OS with the 191 radio and it's very very good.

Only slightly functional. Pure and simple. Starts up and runs, but if the screen times out and goes dark, it's a crap shoot as to if it will come back without a battery pull. Funny thing is, I had this exact same issue when running .273. (Never mind, I simply can't stand having the callback numbers take up real estate on my screen in SMS conversations. Had the same gripe on my Storm.)

Back to .230 we go! So far the only reliable 5.0 I've found for the Tour.

With the .303 on my tour, wall/car chargers no longer charge it, as it only seems to respond to a computer usb cable. IF you want to stay hardcore and not move from this leak until something better has come out, I suggest an external battery charger.

Also, there have been a few full on lockups, no hourglass, just lockups. Battery pulls are inevitable in this situation (alt + shft + del does not work).

For now I'll keep poking around at it, it seems to have improved upon the last leak, but not without it own quirks. I certainly hope the Tour doesn't remain to the side of the Storm as it has thus far. I'm hoping for a good 5.0 ASAP!

Have you been able to find any way to fix the charging issue yet? I am having the same problem. I like this OS except for the fact that I can't charge from the wall or car.

have you tried changing the options under options>memory yet? I remember having trouble on different builds is my 9530 and it was either the options there or going under options>applications>core(in the upper right hand corner)>then bbkey and edit permissions to allow on all the core apps. If I remember right it was the 2nd way that fixed it

So do I allow all of the apps under core?

yes...that should do it

This one lasted about 5 minutes on my phone, 2 freezes and just went to Juicy 230 R2 again... come on bb give us a new release

Unfortunately after tweaking with the OS and even unscrewing some parts, nothing ever improved. Once I dropped back down to Factory OS everything was just fine. Truly odd.
