    i agree sir dat 15 rs plan exist fo only 1 day buh iv nt been able to use internet service at al on my handset ..within the active period of net as wel im nt able to use the internet service ie edge remains edge buh 15 rs gts deducted n i havnt tried fo 399 pack since money gts deducted buh i cant use d service ..so dt it dsnt gt wasted i havnt used it til nw..wat more do u sugest?

    HI,

    lately i am facing the same issue with my Storm 2 9550 and Vodafone.
    i have been using this handset for past 1 year without any issues. however, suddenly my blackberry services have stopped working.
    i tried using my Vodafone SIM in a different BB and i do get EDGE immediately. tried a different SIM (on which i know BB Services are active) on my 9550 to no success.
    i have tried -
    Wiping the complete handset.
    APN Setting is unchecked.
    Network mode - 2G

    any assistance would be helpful.

    Hello, is your network settings checked to Global?

    Also, make sure that your carrier hasn't changed your service plan.

    Thanks for ur reply.
    as i had mentioned in my earlier reply.

    i checked my SIM in another BB and it worked fine. got EDGE immediately.
    tried another BB active SIM in the Storm and i do not get EDGE.
    which means, the issue does not seem to be from the service provider.

    what i have been told is that the Verizon Storm 2 handset are having issues as BB (RIM) has stopped service for these. i was advised to visit BB service center and to ask them to Unlock Data services and it might work. Is it possible for RIM to lock only Data services for specific Handsets??

    the network setting is on Global now. earlier i had selected GSM/UMTS, so that i could keep the mode to 2G.
    still no success. do not get EDGE.

    Not that I know of. I've heard of another user having this issue.

    1) From your dial pad type ##000000 and push SEND.
    2) On the first line erase what is there and type your phone number including area code.
    3) Also add the your phone number to the second line as well. Mobile Directory Number: Add you phone # here
    4) Push BB Button and save.

    Hi,
    did the steps mentioned. it did save my number and restarted the phone. but after restart no change.
    the HRT is still blank.
    clicked on register now, restarted the phone by taking the battery out. no success.
    do i need to do any more changes?

    Try going to Options... Adv Options... Host Routing Table. Press BB key & select "Register Now."

    Never mind, saw you did that. You are on a GSM network correct?
