Thread: 5.0.0.713 Now Here From Verizon Wireless

I saw this attached PDF file on Verizon's support site. Haven't yet had time to see if it is available for download. I had to convert the PDF to text in order to upload it, but the original can be found at Verizonwireless.com/storm2support.

I have been running .713 form the Tbay Tel release and seems really good.

Looks like it is now available on VZW's website, shown as MR2, but did not show up yet through OTA.

I will be upgrading first thing when I get home from work tonight. First BBM 5.0.1.17 Beta and now a new OS. I'm happier than a pig in a mud pit.

I said 713 would be released as official by VZW on the 15th and they go official on the 18th. What took them so long?

Just found out about this. Does it really take 4 hours to download it OTA?

Bad bad bad.... as 607, 713 also can't show keyboard on bbm groups ...... Does the carriers notice this problem? it happens twice ...!!

My bad...on to clarification, I'm in Iraq with a data rate of roughly 15Kbs. It took me a VERY long time just to DL the .exe

Thanks for the responses. I had a problem with the 4 hours. lol Are any of you who upgraded having any issues with the phone quality? Mine isn't great to begin with and I saw on the "other" forum that a few said the phone was dropping calls and getting less of a signal. I haven't upgraded yet becuz of that.

Stupid questions: Is there any difference between the leaked version and the official version? I am on verizon and loaded 713 last week when it was leaked. Thanks

I'm getting the same results with the battery life. I went from 2.4 percent loss per hour to 1.2 percent loss per hour. Great update as far as battery goes.

No difference at all.

wow the signal and everything is fine but wholey **** is it slow, took me forever to just download apps from appworld

I did a speedtest on mine and got 129KB down.

I'm running BBM 5.0.0.66 and the keyboard works fine. I also didn't wipe my device before the upgrade.

hrmmm i'm getting missed calls but the phone never rings. I just get a VM notice or not even that. Then later people are like why didn't you pick up your phone... well because it didn't ring..
