Hello hz helios. It sounds like you are trying to load using desktop manager. First off, I would suggest removing any other OS that you may have installed on your computer. You just need either .497 or .580 installed. Next you want to just use apploader to install the OS. The pathing for apploader is: C:/ > program files > common files > Research in motion > apploader. You will see the loader.exe file the icon is a picture of a cellphone.

no, I can't find the T-mobile official version rom.
I use the unlock 9520, so I don't have the username and password of the t-mobile, than I can't download the T-mobile version rom from the blackberry.com.
Does the vodafone version rom can't load into the unlock T-mobile device?
Here is your Issue. T-Mobile does not Offer a 9520. So they would not have any kind of OS or "ROM" for your 9520. You will need to download an OS that is either DRM or NO DRM depending on your device. Look threw the OS's here and see if you can find one that best suits you. Do you know whether or not your Device is a DRM or NON DRM device??
BlackberryOS Download Center - RIM BlackBerry operating Software download center
Sorry Hodges, but you are incorrect. T-Mobile UK has the 9520.
The official latest OS version for the T-Mobile UK 9520 is .436 which can be downloaded here: Blackberry
hz_helios: Where do you live? Also, can you link me to where you are downloading the newer OS version from?
This whole DRM/No DRM thing with OS's these days is stupid if you ask me and screws up a lot of people.
You are absolutely correct John. I was thinking T-Mobile USA. I appologize hz_helios for the incorrect Info and the confusion. I agree as well John it doesn't make sense to me why they had to throw a wrench in the system with this DRM stuff.

FYI, T-Mobile UK uses NoDRM!
I have downloaded the 436 and installed in my phone. but I can't upgrade the 497 or 580 rom.
Could you tell me the difference between the DRM and No DRM. Did my device just can load the No DRM?
Are there any difference between the methods of load DRM rom and No DRM rom ?
Thank you very much.
Sorry I don't know the answer to that sunkast might... What I can tell you is that we have both the DRM and Non DRM verisons of .580 If you look above and click on the link I provided the Zain Jordan Version is Non DRM and the Vodafone Egypt is DRM. Try both see which one works for you?
hz_helios,
Here is how you will be able to tell.
Download and install the official latest OS version for the T-Mobile UK 9520 which is .436. Once you have this installed to your PC and it is the only OS that is currently on your PC, go to
C:Program Files/Common Files/Research in Motion/Shared/Loader Files/'Your OS folder'/CDMA. If you see a file which reads rim0x0D00xxxx.sfi then you have DRM and you can only install DRM OS's.
If you see rim0x0E00xxxx.sfi the you can load Non-DRM OS's.
That should help you. :fing02: Good Luck!
