    hz_helios,

Here is how you will be able to tell.
Download and install the official latest OS version for the T-Mobile UK 9520 which is .436. Once you have this installed to your PC and it is the only OS that is currently on your PC, go to
C:Program Files/Common Files/Research in Motion/Shared/Loader Files/'Your OS folder'/CDMA. If you see a file which reads rim0x0D00xxxx.sfi then you have DRM and you can only install DRM OS's.
If you see rim0x0E00xxxx.sfi the you can load Non-DRM OS's.

That should help you. :fing02: Good Luck!

Thank you very much! I load non-drm 580 os and succeed!

But I still don't know what is the difference between the DRM os and non-DRM os, and what is the "DRM" meaning. why no-drm device can't load drm os?

You will need to download an OS that is either DRM or NO DRM depending on your device. Look threw the OS's here and see if you can find one that best suits you. Do you know whether or not your Device is a DRM or NON DRM device??

BlackberryOS Download Center - RIM BlackBerry operating Software download center

um your wrong also. uk did provide a storm2 branded t-mob.

1.FIRST REMOVE ANY OS INSTALLED FOR THE 9520 threw Add/remove "win7 uninstall programs" THEN DO THIS: download 9520_omanodrmjEastAsia_PBr5.0.0_rel1252_PL4.2.0.33 3_A5.0.0.741_M1.exe

    2.INSTALL "in short terms explanation"
3.Remove vender.xml located in AppLoader Folder, windows search it, if you do not know where it is
3.access the AppLoader folder, open up Loader.exe [DOES NOT MATTER WHAT DESKTOP MANAGER YOU HAVE] and 4.replace existing software, an volia the software should start loading

Hi, I'm new here and I really liked your conversations on Tmobile's 9520. I have been trying to upgrade it's os for a while now but haven't had much luck. since it's T mobile uk i take it that the new os from east asia .1077 or something should work since it's n o DRM. thanks for your insight.
