Good news on this front! Early Sunday morning, Phil Darringer, the RSA/EMC Product Manager for the SecurID on the Blackberry, reported on the
EMC Community Forums that the RSA Labs had found a workaround for the SecurID app's keyboard problem on 5.0.0.607.
To address this issue, said Mr. D, RSA is now in the process of qualifying a new version (3.0.4) of the SecurID app for the Blackberry across the different RIM OS and device versions. (quote) Assuming all goes well with our regression testing, he added, we plan to make this make this new version available through RSA.com shortly. (unquote)
The new 3.0.4 version of the SecurID code for the Blackberry will, as usual, be available from RSA as a
free download
RSA customers who wish to track the resolution this issue through RSA's SecurCare, or in direct contact with the company, might find it helpful to use RSA's internal tracking number: TOK-2794.
