RSA SecurID Token for BB 5.0.0.607 OS
Good news on this front! Early Sunday morning, Phil Darringer, the RSA/EMC Product Manager for the SecurID on the Blackberry, reported on the EMC Community Forums that the RSA Labs had found a workaround for the SecurID app's keyboard problem on 5.0.0.607.
To address this issue, said Mr. D, RSA is now in the process of qualifying a new version (3.0.4) of the SecurID app for the Blackberry across the different RIM OS and device versions. "Assuming all goes well with our regression testing," he added, "we plan to make this make this new version available through RSA.com shortly."
The new 3.0.4 version of the SecurID code for the Blackberry will, as usual, be available from RSA as a free download
RSA customers who wish to track the resolution this issue through RSA's SecurCare, or in direct contact with the company, might find it helpful to use RSA's internal tracking number: TOK-2794.

Anyone have any ideas?
Re: A New RSA SecurID app for BBs running 5.0.0.607 OS
A SecurID hotifx for Storm2 users who encountered the frozen keyboard problem with the SecurID app on the .607 OS is now available.
Storm2 users who ran into this problem when they upgraded to 5.0.0.607 can now download the hotfix SecurID code (v3.0.4) directly to your Blackberry from: http://www.rsa.com/storm2hotfix
The RSA/EMC product manager, Phil Darringer, earlier today asked me to emphasize two important messages about this release to the BB/SecurID user community.
1) RSA is only supporting this version of the SecurID One-Time Password app for the Blackberry (v.3.0.4) for Storm2 users who have encountered a problem.
(RSA, said Darringer, has (quote) not tested this fix across all the RIM OS versions we support with 3.0.2 and unless we hear tremendous pushback from customers, we will not do this work. If customers need a single version that includes this fix that they can push out to all their users, we would recommend they wait for 3.5, scheduled for availability in June.(end quote) ;)
2) The download link (above) for the actual app. If a RSA SecurID site need the rest of the BB hotfix kit (doc, release notes or .alx/.cod files to deploy the app through the BES server), this material will be only available through RSA Customer Support.
I've been a consultant to RSA for many years.

PS. If you apply the SecurID hotfix, make sure that "compatibilty mode" is still disabled for the SecurID app after the installation or upgrade. This was mentioned in RSA's v3.0.2 release notes as a known problem, and your action may still be required when you install the 3.0.4 hotfix.
