    OS 5.0.0.451 for the 9550 Findings and Fixes


    Hey now we have something exciting here. Finally a leak for the Storm 2 9550! It's been quite some time since we've seen a leak for the 9550. But minutes ago, BBLeaks leaked OS 5.0.0.451 for the Storm 2 9550. And I'm sure a bunch of you addicts can't wait to connect your BlackBerry and get it installed.

    Release log of some type

    Any highlights on this release that could be shared? I had heard that there would be a release by Verizon sometime the end of this month that would in the 500s.

    Ok, I'll bite and load. What have I got to loose but my phone!:aargh4:

    Well so far the upload to the phone has been easy and really fast. Once it restarts I'll post more. I thought .428 was really good so I am curious about this one.

    EDIT: So far it is running smooth (from OS .428). Install was easy and there doesn't appear to be any immediate issues. Will let you know as the day goes on.

    EDIT II: No Issues with my Custom Theme; Add-On's Work Fine including BeWeather; It seems to good to be true...

    EDIT III: After Installing my Theme I found four (4) shortcuts: Mobil Network, Custom Dictionary, Screen/Keyboard and Bluetooth. I do not recall if these are typical or not (perhaps just out of place due to the theme).

    To Shrink or not to shrinkmfg:mfg:mfg:mfg:..OH well, I'll try STR8 up 1st then test...SHrink L8tr if necessary..Again,...Finally some S2 Luv..I hope it was worth the wait. I guess there's always SR78's FLAWLESS V6 I can always reload if 451 FLOPS...

    Are you Saying that V6 may actually have some Competition! I got it loaded on my tester S2 right now. Am just debating if I should Activate it before I actually load up My Primary S2? More feedback please

    Have .451 running... so far I have not found any issues. Everything appears to be very snappy.

    Found something.... Pictures load instantly... when I open the pictures folder there is NO loading time... All thumbnails are instantly viewable. On .428, there was a significant loading time

    Also, I shrunk .451 before loading. So far, so good...

    I did a full shrink and have no issues, everything seems to be working fine so far.

    I'm having a bit of a battery drain issue with the 428/484 hybrid. Please advise if 5.0.0.451 OS is a bit easier on battery life? Thanks in advance!

    Yeah, I can verify this. But If I select view folders then I get lag in loading.
