man, I don't know. I've been debating on trying this out our sticking with Sean's v6 hybrid. I mean, my battery life has been absolutely amazing and everything moves when I tell it to! But this is a new leaked OS, who can pass that up???

I'll sit tight for a few more days. I wanna hear more thoughts and reviews about this leaked OS.

I guess I'll give it a few days on my 2nd S2 to see if the speed improves or browser gets quicker. My primary S2 has V6 on it now and I had them side by side going from menu to menu and accessing all my apps. Both phones seem equal. My primary S2 I think may me snappier...May just be me but I'll report back in a few days and see...
Have you tried out .451 yet? I think you and me both are in the same boat.... just can't find one good reason to make the transition. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

I personally have not experienced any better performance w/451 nor the 497 Hybrid. Sean actually posted in the 497Hybrid forum that he liked the 497 Hybrid and approved the performance status.... I think I may just sit on SR's V6 but have not decided for sure yet?? Hope I was able to assist

SR's v6 is great--best my S2 has ever run. As you noted, battery management is amazing--.3%/hr. drain (per MeterBerry) sitting overnite receiving whatever emails, etc (versus a more typical 1.5% with other builds / OS). And the phone is totally responsive with a great feel.

Loaded Lyr's .451 / .497 hybrid (on a different site's VIP forum) yesterday just to try it out (I've not tried straight .451). This hybrid may have a slightly faster browser, and may be slightly better overall, but if it is better/faster the order of magnitude is not very large. It's not been on long enough to settle in so I can judge battery management. I found that .428-based hybrids could be battery fussy in the first few days of loading, need to see about .451-based hybrids.

Gotta say that wiping SR's v6 off my S2 was hard to do, tho, as it sure ran well.

I 2nd your comment ..SR's V6 by far has been the Best OS/Hybrid combo my S2 has ever ran with. I actually just Wiped my 2ndary S2 and loaded 451/.497 and I must say, it has just a slight more speed over SR's V6.. If anything, Lyr's .497H and SR's V6 are By far the BEST OSs out right now w/noDOUBT. I havent really tested battery life w/Lyr's .497(Will do for 24hrs) so I cannot really say how battery holds up. Performance wise, the two share UNBELIEVABLE SPEED w/Lyr inching a bit faster. I am currently trying to find the courage to wipe SR's V6 off of my Primary S2 and load Lyr's .497H. I will most likely keep it on my 2ndary S2 and activate whenever..Obviously all of this is IMH

    Thank you Prince!
I have nothing bad to say about this build so far.
I'm about three days into this OS and I would recommended it.

Battery life definitely SUCKS for me! took the phone off the charger at 9:15 this morning and at 8:00PM it was at 20% and I had to plug it in. today was a rather light email/text day. Made 4 relatively short phone calls and listened to XM radio for about 30 minutes. I was like WOW this sucks!

I seriously hope the battery life doesn't suck as much as it did on .428-for me anyways, and this reboot time is putting me to sleep.

EDIT: A few more notes to add-I was wondering why I gained nearly 8-10 mbs of space, it turns out you can now remove ringtones and other stuff that was blocked before in the newer 5.0's-now that we can again; it seems I really actually wanted some of them still, Lol, anyone know a site where I can pick up some sound wavs that sound like some of them? Otherwise, this is a pretty solid OS so far, I still have to wait to see what my battery life ends up like though.

for battery life mine has actually improved. do you have any apps like berryweather or twitter apps that may be refreshing very often? and the other thing to try is let the phone go dead, until it turns off then completely recharge it, sometimes that is all it needs.

I"m not running anything different than I did on .428. During the same time period doing the same things with the same apps I would be around 50% on .428 and with this one I was at 20%.

I would try running it dead and fully recharge it. Sometimes they need that. There is a 'switch' in the battery cells that sometimes needs 'reset'.
