Vad and bluetooth incompatability!

When are rim and nuance going to realize that they had a great working version of vad until 5.0.0.3xx. What the heck happened. Nuance's new versions do not work well or at all with bluetooth. In fact you cannot even adapt voice with a bluetooth. In many states it is not legal to use a cellphone while driving without a bluetooth or speaker. For those of us that depend on vad and bluetooth have been left out in the cold with both s1 and s2.
What are we to do? Droid??????? I cant even imagine that.

I have read of many ppl having trouble with this I have had no problems with my storm or storm 2. If on a storm 1 I would try wiping and reloading software and then doing and advanced restore and not restoring vad bluetooth options

thanks j, but i have tried that with 323 and 328. And it just doesnt work well at all. Also tried it with a new s2 and its the same thing,works great through the speakerphone, it gets contacts and names great, but just doesnt get numbers right with bt. I have no problems with the older versions.

the only time I use vd is on bt and it has not given me trouble

just an idea that im sure you 've already tried. taking COD from older 5.0 and loading it into .328

I would love to hear how replacing the VAD works... anyone try this yet?

VAD has taken a major step backwards. I have it working, but just barely. I agree with WKWWX (OP) about this. A workaround would have been Vlingo, but Vlingo doesn't work on 5.0... so we're stuck.

It's too bad that they would let such an important feature take such a huge step backwards. I was at a Verizon store and said that I would be willing to go to the Storm 2 if the voice dialing is better than it is on my phone now (.328). The rep went so far as to enter a name (one SINGLE name in the contact list)... he couldn't get it to recognize the ONLY name in contacts. He sheepishly admitted that I'd be better off waiting to upgrade to S2.... yipes. Rim, can you hear me now?

I have tried vad filed from all 5.0 leaks and officials. None were compatible with 328. Sorry. Maybe bbcrackman or lyricidal can figure it out.
