Definitely indeed. And what I tell everyone is that Apple only has one phone which is the iphone. So they can pump every last dollar into apps and an OS upgrade a month. But RIM has so many different Model Blackberry's to keep updated that it is a much larger scale. But that's a different topic...But as you said yes...the first gen Storm was rushed for sales...a device belonging to the most used phone business wise and corporate wise has no wi-fi to connect to a corporations internal secured wireless network but instead has to use Verizon's data plan? It was rushed...verizon was not satisfied...thus the lack in OS upgrades until the agreement for a 2nd gen upgrade.
Verizon knows it will not see sales by announcing hey we have an OS update for the storm...there is no possible marketing strategy for that. But in order to see figures and long lines at the Verizon store is to say ok, here it is...what you all been waiting for...Storm 2. the way it should have been released, with 5.0 software. I know I'll be online...would you Jlevy? lol
