The vendor file and the loader.exe are in C:/program files/ common files/ research in motion/ apploader. You will find both in there

deleted the vendor file but no loader exe or are u talking about the loader that says
loader

Delete the vendor.xml file and then launch the apploader from the icon that looks like a phone. I believe it says loader. Make sense?

ok now when i go to the loader it comes up

welcome to the app loader wizard then the next part goes to communication port then to retriving device config then onto device app selection and now im stuck were do i go from there it just has the app that i already have on the phone no new os

Ok, I've been muscling my way through this but still can't get the v3 to be recognized by the application loader of the BB desktop manager. I have verified that v3 is listed in my shared folder but when I go to update, it does not show up as an option to load to my phone. Any help?

Close Desktop Manager

Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader…..delete the vendor.xml file

Dbl Click the Loader application:


Check what you want to be installed and continue with the instructions.

No action required means that it isn't installed to your pc

go to control panel/add remove progs and check.

it will probably say you have desktop software but no device software
