k. loading. thanks man. will my status say .122 instead of .109 now?
thanks man. i am installing 3.5.1 on verizon. is this one more stable than 3.5?
no. if you want stability you should use 3.5
3.5.1 is for those of us on verizon that want the color banding issue fixed and bigger keys while typing. its also good for carriers like tmobile and at&t to keep it EDGE instead of edge.
a lot of verizon customers have had issues with .90 (which is the radio for 3.5.1) causing random reboots or VSOD. im running 3.5.1 on verizon because i wanted to try the bigger keys and see the color difference. ive had a few minor issues so far but nothing thats making me want to get rid of 3.5.1 for 3.5
v3.5 1 is primarily for T Mobile user EDGE connection. EDGE is standardized by 3GPP as part of the GSM family, and it is an upgrade that provides more than three-fold increase in both the capacity and performance of GSM/GPRS networks.
Is better suited for T-Mobile, however several people with Verizon have installed it.
3.5 is probably more stable than 3.5.1. However, I like the bigger keys and have found memory leak and battery life much improved on 3.5.1. However, I am one of the lucky few not plagued with the problem associated with the .90 radio code. If you want to play it safe install 3.5
gottcha. I will test 3.5.1 for a bit and switch to 3.5 if i encounter any probs. thanks again.
ps. if i wanna switch to 3.5, can i just overwrite 3.5.1 in my 109 folder... or do i need to uninstall and then do process over?
Thank you for this
No Brian you are not alone. Been running it for about 10 hours. So far compared to 3.5 here are my thoughts"
1. MMS working good
2. Better color
3. Better battery life
4. Better memory
5. Little slower transitioning from program to program
6. Everything else seems the same between 3.5 and 3.5.1
anyone else having problems with downloading 3.5.1?
