Thread: Please help with the removal of Sample pics

I need to get the stupid sample pics off my phone but Shink an OS doesn't seem to be doing its job, Yes I am running it as adminstrator and it still not working. This is really pissing me off as I've never had this problem before. They keep loading back up. Could someone please tell me what cods I should manually delete in order to get these off my OS.

Would you be open to using BBFileScout?

dont think bbfilescout will let you use it because of the permissions,but I have no idea how to remove them

BBFile scout won't let you access the system files in this 5.0 OS. it says that it can't be read. It's even posted on the BBfile Scout website that it won't work for 5.0 OSs. Any other ideas on how to remove these?

i just tried that and it wont let you open system folder.

Yeah Filescout hasn't worked on any 5.0 os's that I can remember. I assume shrink will work once Lyricidal updates to handle the new os? Does maxmem work on the Storm? It worked on the Tour 5.0.0.191 os, but I never tried it on any of the newer OS's for it.

So are you saying that noone is able to delete these pics? Are you saying that SAOS isn't working for this new OS?

Does not work. It will not do anything. This really sucks.

Does work...I've used it time and again on 5.0...

I have tried everything with no luck, I agree it is just pissing everyone off at this point.

If after you install MaxMem and run the application, select Remove Media.
You will get prompted.

Have You Made Backup First?
Select Yes

Next prompt is,

Are you willing to disclaim the coder of any lost data?
Select Yes.

Simple as that....

I did all that and when its done and I go to close the program I get this message, "(c) Bberrycoder.com"

After, I go to check and the sample pics are still there. I even did a battery pull afterwards and they are still there.

What version of shrink an os are you using, version 4.1 does remove them on the bold 314 OS

I'm trying with Shrink an OS 4.1 now because I was using version 4.0 before. I'll let you know in a few minutes.

They are still there even after using SAOS 4.1. This is ridiculious.:aargh4::aargh4:

Just get the latest version of BBSAK (1.7.0), and delete application media cod's. Works fine for me.
