So I tried removing the net_rim_bb_medialoader_ringtones_9500.cod when I updated a couple days ago and discovered today that they are still there! why!? I triple check my java folder before I install the OS and I checked today and it is still in the removed files folder, wtf? Is this the same thing as the sample pics? I'm sure those little bastardoes are still in there too. grrrrr

I removed the sample pic by manually moving the COD's to the removed files folder. then I disabled my NIC. I was affraid that when I try to install, it was going to the web to try to install. The first time I tried this it loaded the sample pics even though I moved them. they were not in my java folder, but still ended up on my phone. installed the OS again but this time without a web connection and guess what no sample pics. was doing the happy :1244: for a bit. then one time I plugged my phone into my pc and DM said that there was a core update. Hmm though that was odd and did the update. guess whats back on? :irked:

Try wiping your phone first. Then use shrink-a-os to remove the pics. Then load the os onto your phone. Then delete the OS from your computer so DM won't try to load everything back onto your phone the next time you plug it in.

might not be everybody's results but SAOS did not remove the sample pics. I had to manually remove the files from the java folder. Also the files in the PC were not a problem with loading it back in since once its removed from the Java folder it wont get loaded back in. That is unless your connected to the internet. Seems DM will go out to the web and try to install the OS that way. Since this happened to me I added DM to my Winblows Firewall to block since all my OS updates are installed using the .exe and I use apploader not DM.

Exactly which COD files are you referring to? I have BBSAK 1.7 and 184.108.40.2068 loaded on my S1. There are quite a few CODs w/the name MEDIA in it. Please be specific. Thanks.

So as my phone is being loaded with my newly shrunk OS and my internet is on, those .cods that were removed will automatically be loaded onto the phone anyway?
