    Shrunk .328

For those of you that shrunk .328, what did you remove? Can I shrink the setup wizard off before I load the OS, or do I need it.

I always shrink it off. No, you don't need it. I always remove the languages
    I don't need and games I don't want.

Shrink it off! I dropped around 30 mb by shrinking....dropped the languages, Docs to Go, along with the setup wizard, help files, Navigator, etc.

    Good luck!

when I performed my FIRST d/l last night, I shrank off all the stuff I don't use (lang, games, vad, rhapsody, etc) and when I finally booted my browser didn't work. I wiped (again) d/l w/o shrink and everything seems to be working... will try shrinking again this evening...

did ur e-mails work? if they didn't all u had to was connect the BB to DM and under Back up and Restore, go to advanced and load ur most recent back up and just transfer the service books over.

For some reason, when I shrink, i alway have to do this. For some reason I seem to shrink w/e is required to activate the e-mails and browser. but once i transfer the previous service books over, everything works fine.

    remove cods after install?

Are there unnecessary cod files installed in spite of shrinking? I was looking through BBSAK and it appeared that there were cod files that referred to things I thought I shrunk out. I was wondering if there are excess cods...what they might be... (such as unnecessary fonts?)... and can they be removed, thus shrinking things even further?

I shrank it with no problems, I boot up to 44.8mb with 3 games, WB, MB, BBM, Google Maps, and 2 themes.

I did notice that it didn't shrink off the new demo games but I caught them before I loaded it and moved them from the java folder.

I have had an issue shrinking with both 5.0 leaks and the official release. When I shrink it removed the cod net_rim_bb_docview, or something like that, I know the docview portion is right. I have to move it from the removed folder to the java folder in order to get the calander to work.

Hmm wonder if they have integrated the document viewer with calendar?

It is weird. I originally shrank and I was trying to get Quickpull Pro to do a scheduled reboot and couldn't get it to work. I reloaded the full .exe and now the scheduled reboot works
