Assuming the tech support centers aren't as fully staffed on Sunday as they would be on Monday; I wonder if they decided to drop it on a Monday since it is a whole new OS, and not just a revision? I'm sure they will be flooded with questions such as "My media thingy used to be an app, now it's just a folder....... WTF?"

Yeah, plus it won't be available for download OTA either. So maybe that has something to do with it?

Could be. Maybe they just felt the need to have more techs on-hand to walk people through the DM update process. I get a feeling that a lot of non-enthusiast users who might still be running 4.7.0.x with DM 4.7 are going to need help - since IIRC 5.0 OSes won't install on DM 4.7

DonNguyen is talking to his source right now apparently. His source is saying it WILL be .328; he's confirming the date as I type this.

Where's the leak??? I thought we would see this one before the masses!!

Date is still the 25th per Don's source.

I am wondering if the 26th is the date considered the "hard launch" of the OS, meaning it will be on the new devices sold in-store?

Yup, and the weekend ain't over yet, either.

(Not saying it will or won't, I have no idea. But we JUST got .323; we'll either see .328 within the next 48 hours, or once it's official - either way, it's a short time anyways. Enjoy your weekend and don't worry about a build only 5 higher than what we've got, IMHO)

Could be, but that's not what the image shows. Says it will be available on the DM.

I guess it doesn't really matter in the end, a day isn't very long.... It's just tons of fun to speculate a bit.

EDIT: i guess all this date confusion just goes to show you how disorganized companies can be at times.

Wow...official BBM 5.0 and now an official 5.0 OS... It's like early Christmas goin' on in VZW & RIM world!

If Verizon is SUPPOSE to release it in 2 days i doubt we will see a leak but hey you never know :-)

I really hope VZW releases it tomorrow. Otherwise I can see myself getting up and going downstairs at all hours of the night on Sunday.

I heard originally that it was set for release at 10:00pm Sunday. I imagine I'll be plugging in DM all day tomorrow.
