we need details folks... I know that you can manually update it by moving it to another position in the appmenu... But does it update automatically on the homescreen?

berryweather does work! However you have to use the same solution to the white bars to update the homescreen.
(appscreen>options>3rows>save then back to 2 rows>save.)or you can just move it then move it back in your app screen.

And yes every time i reboot it closes all connections. WOW I AM IN CENTRAL TIME -6 AND IT JUST CHANGE MY TIME ZONE TO MEXICO -6.. FUN BABY

i got the same problem..still no solution as yet for me..

how do i get rid of the boxes???

I believe on thing to try (thanks to RANDYKELLY) is from home screen BBKEY>Options>change from 2 rows to something else>change back>save

I REALLY MISS THE KEY GHOSTING!! HYBRID TIME!!!!!

Have loaded the new OS on my Storm and I must say that this is definitely the best straight OS I have had on it. Smooth, quick and so far eveything works with it. Now if the folks at Steelthorn would get Quick Pull Pro updated to work with 5.0 OS, I think my Storm would be complete. Thanks for the leak.

Funny, It has been pushing Mexico -6 to me since .230. now i finally have Central.


I lost track how many times I have rebooted this morning (all intentional) and my connections were always on. Odd

they are claimed that it would work on os releases after 5.0.0.296
oops. Also they say that since 5.0 is not legal that we should not worry about it and once it is legal it will work.

I shrank down the OS before installing and am having no issues at all with it. Seems to shrink well.

Yes, they gave me that song and dance when I asked them about it as well. Haven't tried it on .323 yet, but with every other 5.0 OS it has not worked at all. You would think they would want to "stay ahead of the curve" with their product instead of playing catchup after a 5.0 OS becomes "official".

rims new os is eluding many developers. They locked out the systems folder so apps such as file scout cannot access them.
Now we cannot slim down our app mem.

The memory cleaner is supposed to run when you lock your phone I think (also at other times).. try this: when you notice it at low memory, lock the phone for a few seconds, let the screen go dark, then unlock and check your memory again.

As long as your phone works and is fast I would ignore the memory. I've always been around 40 - 45 but with .230 I'm always at 25 or so. Never been a problem and when I add apps it stays at 25... I just ignore it now (I'M CURED!!! :laugh2

every time i open google maps it is zoomed way out showing me the americas.

I have had none since BES was activated and my company has heavy encryption on my blackberry. I was not able to get any other 5.0 to activate on my phone without the constant 5 min reboots. This one activated in like 25 min and i have had zero problems. Finally!!!

You know it's funny, I'm also getting the fluctuating memory. kinda crazy.

I am now able to update my contacts on the phone - which I wasn't able to do with the last update (unable to input numerals). Everything seems easier and faster with this update and I haven't done any battery pulls yet. It went back to 1XEV - don't know if that's good or bad. So far, it seems very nice.

ok this os i very good. i hope i dont seem to negative but my hopes are someone may fix the problems we find.
