That's what I did pasted the java and CDMA file into 113. My theory was that 113 was the latest most stable OS. While v3 is great it is mish mosh of different OS's. Since the 122 files was not the complete .exe file wanted to use a stable OS (all from one OS) as the base for 122. So far it has worked well. There are probably many variations that will work but I couldn't get it to load when using v3 as the base OS.
For all those with service book issues you can also do it from the web:
Resend your service books:
On phone: Options > Advanced options > Host Routing Tables > BB Menu Key > Register Now
OR
Over the Web: BlackBerry - BlackBerry Internet Service Support
Pick North America or World Wide @ the top of page.
Pick your Service Provider from the list on this page.

Just loaded .122 onto .114 Hybrid v3! Phone is ridiculously fast! Just pulled the batt, we'll see how stable it is by tomorrow. Just thought I'd let you know. So basically I have BBCRACKMAN's .114 Hybrid v3 with .122 Java folder pasted into it. Options/About says v4.7.0.122 (platform 4.0.0.144) 50.3MB after batt pull (usually 46-47). I'll keep you posted!
I'd be interested in finding out how your battery and app mem holds out. I did the .122 install using the first method, pasting the .122 CDMA and JAVA folders into .113. This gave me v4.7.0.122, platform 4.0.0.153.
I had a slight memory leak problem with .114 v3 compared to .113. So far looks like I might still have a slight leak (started at 43.8, down to 36 after 9 hours), but I will check again in the morning.
ok just wondering how this is running for everyone.....i just got a replacement and wondering if i should stick with v3 or try .122
