4.7.0.122 Findings Thread

I decided to try this and have had it on my device since about noon today. I have has 3 random reboots, when sending email or sms the blue highlighter cant keep up and sometimes just stops. Not a huge issue when compared to the reboots. I am not keeping this one, time to move on to the next......

sweet...i just put .122 on a few hours ago and it seems ok so far. we shall see.

edit: just started messing with browser and if i barely touch over a link the bottom menu comes up and goes away repeatedly...i hate this menu as it is...thats enough for me to say thanks and goodbye haha im a picky idiot

I am partial to the .109 sfi file, it has been very stable and responsive

thats what i was using prior to trying out .122. you think thats better then the .113 radio?

I feel they are comparible, though I have always had good luck with the 109 and I believe the accelerometer is faster in .109. 114 was just as quick just unstable.

sounds good. i put .113 radio on v3.5 just to try out. i used .109 earlier so i can compare and go with the one that works best for me. thanks!

BBC I am surprised to hear that you had bad luck with .122. I've had it on since this morning and I have been happy with it's performance. Memory is a little leaky but the signal strength, accelerometer, battery life and overall performance of the phone have been very good. It's weird that you had random reboots. But then again I was running v3.5 with the sfi from 109 and had three reboots in an hour. It's almost like each phone has it's own personality.

I thought 109 was the best radio when used with that OS. But when I take 109 SFI and use with other OS's I have issues with it. So far sfi from 122 seems to be doing great. I also liked 113 that was also stable and had a nice accelerometer.

Bell .122 update...

I installed this OS yesterday morning when it was released. Memory leak was substantial at first. I was ready to go back to 3.5, but jleavy advised that I have a little patience and let the OS "settle". Came home from work last night, and decided to do just that...BUT, I wanted to start fresh, so I wiped my BB, (didn't do that yesterday AM due to lack of time), and reinstalled BELL .122

After 3-60 sec battery pulls, memory leakage was reduced. This morning, after scheduled Quickpull at 6:45am...I started with 49.1MB, and at 10am I still have 45.9MB....so that's only a drop of 3.2MB, and I have been using it this morning.

So....Thanks jleavy for good advice. I like this OS so far, everything seems very smooth, nothing stands out at all that's negative, and if the memory stays this stable, I guess I'll keep it....until BBC comes up with his next "work of genius".:arms:

ok so this new link is the full .122 and i can just install and run after wipe right? through the loader not DM and if i want i can put 3.5 or the 5.0 over this later right?

Do you like it better than 3.5? I'm on Bell to begin with but 3.5 is working so well I'm a little hesitant. After install what does your platform show?

Yes and Yes to your questions. Try doing a battery pull then resend service books. Go to options, advanced option, host routing table, click then BB button and press register now.

Just installed the Bell release for .122. Everything is working great. Did the 3 mandatory battery pulls and will wait and see what happens over the next 24 hrs.
Question for all you BB gurus. Any advantage to running 3.5 over top of it? What extras will it give me if any? :33:

Im hearing alot of mixed hearings on the Official .122 and also heard that the reception is pretty good so thats why Im wondering if I want to try it. Im currently on the .113 with V3.5.
