Thread: 5.0.0.238 hybrid By Lyricidal

Ok,found something w/ calender. Any new appointment I enter shows send using "Groups". Older calender appointments "Device Default".Cant find an option to change that setting.

Does this problem persist in default themes?

Is anyone else having issues with QuickPull Lite and Pandora stopping at 0:26 left of the song and it does this for all songs.

Though I've only been testing it out for about an hour, overall everything is smooth sailing with this one. Maintaining EDGE was never an issue for me, but 3rd party apps would always drop me down to "edge" and kill the data connection. So far with this release (and standard 5.0.0.191 as well actually), even though I still get dropped to edge, the connection remains solid with every 3rd party app I've tried (pandora, slacker, score mobile, etc).

Only complaint is the persistant landscape view screen dimming, but that seems to be prevailant across the board for 5.0. Irritating, but not a deal-breaker.

Same issues with quickpull - error message and program crash whenever used.

As for Pandora, this has happened to me as well with every OS I've tried (.148, .151, .191 & 230) unfortunately... I ended up just switching to Slacker and have had no issues thus far with this release. I would recommend giving that a go if you haven't already!

What is odd is that QuickPull works on my 9530 with this Hybrid, but on my wife's 9530 with the same Hybrid and will not work. I have tried both the older version and the newer version of QP and continues to error. I have done a clean wipe several times with BBSAK and mirrored the permissions to match mine and still creates an error and crashes. As for the radio apps I have not tried Slacker in awhile and I guess I should since VZW pushes it out to all BB's now. :lame:

That is strange... I didn't do a full wipe of my device, maybe I'll give that a whirl and see what happens.

Also, anybody able to get a GPS lock with this release? Been trying for a while with gmaps, poynt & amaze but so far no dice.

I'm not sure how it's supposed to function as I've never used it before but you could try resending your service books.

try this man I'm not really sure what's wrong but this is your default calendar selector

options > advance options > default services > now if you use google sync it shoudl be your gmail account and if it's outlook it should be your home email.

is that what your looking for?

Seems much quicker than the straight 238.

The radio is still .230, correct?
