Thread: 230 and DRM

Just curious to know if anyone else has encountered problems playing back DRM protected tracks on their 9530 running 5.0.0.230.

Once I got Rhapsody to detect it (a feat in itself) and dragged a bunch of my "to-go" tracks over, I was able to play them, however, 9 times out of 10 I receive big red "Error Playing." message at the top right of the screen and another at the center of the screen reporting "An error has occurred attempting to play media." the Music player then attempts to skip to the next track (returning the same error) until it give up.

This has happen to me on two different 9530s and it has been a constant with all of the 5.0 leaks. I've assumed that there is just something different in the way the 5.0 OS handles DRM but haven't seen anyone post something about it.

Am I alone?

Not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a problem with 5.0.

I have experienced no such problems playing audio. Movies have been an issue for me even though they are the correct format.

Just curious has the music you've been playing been from a subscription service like Rhapsody To Go?

Love to get an answer on this. It's driving me crazy

No the music I have been playing does not come from Rhapsody to go. I just have transferred my music over directly to my SD Card.

You may need to remove drm first, then it will be easy to sync these unprotected files to blackberry
