Is there a way I can access the internet connecting my laptop to my storm, but not using the 9530 as a modem? Sorry if this has been discussed before, i tried searching and all i could find was tethering which is not what i want.

Not sure I understand what it is you are trying to do. You want to get internet on your laptop from your 9530 without using it as a modem?

Yes.
By definition, using your internet from a phone is a modem. I don't think there is a way to do exactly what you want.

No, you would need to install a software that can take the data connection from your storm and transfer it the laptop so the laptop can connect to the internet. Other than that, no.
