i followed you r instruction bbcrackman but now i am not getting emails to my bb device email address and i have updated the service books any help you can offer?

ive got 103 with platform 131 and emails not working either after updating service book ??? am i screwed

Go to email set up (there is an icon for this) and resend the service books

hi already did that infact i deleted my old service book records and telus resent me updated service book personal email ( hotmail working fine) device email ( @telus.blackberry.net not working at all

ok i reinstalled now have version 109 but lost all my app data

go to Options> Advanced Options> Host Routing Tables>BB Button> Register Now

I'm having issues trying to update my OS. I've been following all the instructions posted and I've done it before, however for some reason I can't seem to update any of the new OS. Can anyone help?

Youre in the right place! What steps have you taken so far?

just an update; after some back and forth with lots of help from bbcrackman i now have 109. running on my Telus 9530.
Overall feedback - wow its like a new phone (I was ready to go back to my 8830)
all my 3rd part apps seem to working fine
accelerometer much smoother. keyboard lag all but gone,
Gps in bb maps now working
full qwerty portrait mode is great - No green go button - (but who cares)
Bluetooth now working - in all 3 storms i had before the bluetooth was sketchy at best dropping calls switching between handset and earpiece on a whim - now works like a dream.

so big thanks to Blackberry OS

So I have downloaded both .103 and .109 versions. I've followed the steps of installing and uploading on the blackberry desktop, but when I set it up for app loader, it doesn't seem to recognize any of the new versions. All I see are the .65 and .75 versions.

Did you uninstall the old OS's off you computer? Did you install the 4.7.0.103 exe file (this is the factory .103). Once you are done with the install go back to the file labled 4.7.0.103 (the .109 hybrid) right click and copy. Then go to
Cprogramfiles>commonfiles>research in motion>shared>loader files and right click and paste. Answer yes to overwrite. Go back to the apploader file and delete the vendor.xml file. Now in the same folder go to Loader.exe and double click, make sure you back up your device (program defaults to this so dont change it, it will automatically restore when you are done loading the OS) Let me know how it goes. Thank you so much!!! You're a genius. Eveyrthing works perfectly. I would never have guessed to install it as such. Now I have one last question, is the version .103 the same as .109? When I check the status of the version of software, it lists as .109. Thanks again!! you've been great help

The version is .109 but you are running on the .103 platform (131)
