Thread: Old Selection/Copy & Paste

i saw this over at CB and im not a very big fan of the way the new copy/paste function works either. i figure someone here would know which file or files in java affect this. i would like to replace them and go back to the old method. i get the copy and paste tool now when i enter almost any text such as a web url and sometimes even on talk lock. any help is much appreciated.

net_rim_cldc.cod
net_rim_crypto_2.cod

here an odd finding. i have v3 of the hybrid (shrunk down by shrink-a-os) and i noticed neither of those files are even there yet it has the new copy paste feature?

go into your .109 folder, search for files with crypto in it. (cntrl F) then just locate the file copy and paste it into v3

i got the 2 files listed above in a folder now to have. so you are saying get every single crypto file?

No, I was having you locate the files I mentioned. You should not need any of the others listed. Those two files control the new c&p. If once you install those cods, check it. If we need to make adjustments then we can.

Are you loading the cods through Crack Utilities?

thats whats odd. i have seemingly every other file in my v3 slimmed down java folder with the exception of those 2. and i delete and readd the files directly in the java folder. dont have or use crack utilities.

That is odd, those are the files that control c&p, I will look at the others but those are the only ones I could find that had anything to do with c&p. I will post up in a while after I get done going through it

I found the two files you mentioned in v3 and removed them. When I reinstalled I no longer have the copy and paste function. Now I will try to get the files from 109 and put them in v3. Will post back once I am done to let you know my results.

thats whats weird. see you removed them and no copy and paste for you. i shrunk the v3 hyrbid and checked the java folder and those files are gone already and yet i still have the new copy and paste. i think im going to try and just put the 2 "old" copy and paste files in there and see what happens...

haha it went ummm not well...got a brick now...app error 200 i believe it was...time to wipe it and fix it. thank god i got the backup from today!

since i bricked it im going to try the .75 to the new os thing to see if that "fixes" mms may as well...

Brian the only way to fix MMS is if you go from .75 to .113

I tried doing .75 to v3 and it did not fix the MMS. Just letting you know my experience and also to save you some time. However, if you want to give it a shot go for it.
