Thread: Does anyone know...

In threaded sms...when writing a text message..How do I tab down to the next line? The tab key sends the message and it's driving bonkers..:crazy:

That's because sms is based on characters so the only way around it I guess would be the spacebar. Keep in mind most carriers will limit the number of characters to 140 or 160.

press the key next to space once aA(caps button dont hold) then press the enter(tab) and it will go to next line

Lol... its handy for somethings like long messages in BBM but other than that

Exactly, and if i remember correctly (wat memory?!?!:crazy it will also does the same in BBM. Had to do it a couple of times in BBM and SMS.

Yup, if i remember correctly... had to go back to .148 (4.0 os) so I can't test it....but I believe anything, whether its a space, or shift+enter to the next line all count as a character

Thanks again for this info guys. Now I'm driving my wife crazy. I'm sending her BBMs but I'm spacing out the words so she has to scroll a long ways down to read the whole message. lol

yea thats where I was going with its only good in BBM for long messages.. mine LOATHES it.. but she has a curve and sends me blank messages
