Thread: How disable / remove Flick Scrolling ?

This happens to me only in calendar, and for the first couple of swipes. If I open the calendar and want to advance a couple of days, it usually jumps back a week, then another week on the second swipe (yes, while i swipe up). Usually by the third or fourth swipe it is back in line, then I hit the today button, and all is good.

I'm alone with this problem ?

How I can install a clean 5.0.0.238 without flick scrolling ?

did you mean 5.0.0.230? and as well there is not a way to disable the flick scroll... everyone i think has had this glitch. I am not sure there is a fix for it.

with 5.0.0.xxx, the problem appear for everyone.

Who confirm ?

ic you have the hybrid.. i would post your problems in that thread as there will be more users in there with the feedback.. i think this was a problem in .230 as well.

What is your swipe sensitivity set to? Are you on the day view in the calendar? Are you running a theme?

Where a adjust the swipe sensitivity. I don't use BerryScroll
Agenda view but I don't have the problem with day view

As well as .191 - I believe the problem is that even though the OS is now flick-scrolling aware; some of the applications aren't and thus the flick scroll causes unexpected results scrolling around.

Well truth be told, i'm not a HUGE fan of flick scrolling myself (in its current form) - I found the non-flick scrolling to be much more precise, and it was ALOT easier to select text for copy/paste. I for one hope that when we actually get an official release that contains flick scrolling, it is a toggleable option. The fact that flick scroll is present in .140 but not active until a special backup file is loaded points to the fact that it can in fact be toggled and the option just doesn't exist in any of the menus.

In its current form, flick scrolling LOOKS really nice 99% of the time; but just doesn't work well in some of the apps.

Has anyone that already purchased a copy, tried installing BerryScroll and see if the disable option might work with this version? Just a thought.

Good suggestion striker but, doing that will not affect the .sfi of the phone.. the phones default setting can not be changed.
