Installation method.
Install full .230
Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530AMEA_v5.0.0.230_P4.2.0.61
Delete current Java folder
Replace with downloaded file.
Shrink or run App Loader to begin installation.

Will not need to have .230 installed as this download will include radio file.

I take no credit for this hybrid I am just trying to hook up the people that do not know of this hybrid.

I would be interested in the changes. Might help to determine if I would take the time to upgrade. 230 has been very rigid for me. Might be difficult to pull the trigger in this.

I am running he same hybrid from Lyricidal. It runs as well as .230, uses slightly less memory and seems a little snappier than .230.
Overall a great hybrid and I'm very pleased with it.

Morning. Do you guys ever sleep? LOL Guess I don't at times either. Anyway, is it worth the switch from the Full 230.?

I used Shrink a OS with no problems at all.

I'm thinking of trying this hybrid out. Any findings & fixes for this hybrid? Would like to know if there is any major differences from what I'm running now(.230).

Essentially this hybrid includes the java files from .238 from the Bold and the SFI from the Storm 230.

I will probably give this a few days before considering installing this as straight 230 is excellent.

this is a great hybrid been running for 24 hours battery life is reall good. signal strength always above 4 bars holds 3g. overall great hybrid

so since this uses the 230 radio, this release has threaded SMS?

yes all 5.0 os above 5.0.0.191 have threaded sms but not bbm5 at the moment

I gave it a run and its as smooth as .230 (full or BBC's hybrid) now the one thing FOR ME was 5.0 always caused my lock to stick but for some reason with this hybrid its fast and very smooth, with no shrink after my 4/60's (batt pulls) I came up with 45.7 (memory) so for the most part no major diff.

Seems much faster to me....not to mention the browser seems more speedy...now if they can just fix the whole predictive text thing while typing in landscape mode and the normal sound profile sounds :Eyecrazy:

you can turn the predictive text off in your options

Yea I forgot to mention that, you're right the browser does seems faster

Ive tried that....even turning them on and off and it won't turn off for sum reason :no:
