These factors would not be due to changes in java files. And if so it would be negligible.

The factors you describe would be .sfi related which would have been present in the .230 leak both before the full release and after.

So do I run .230 and just switch out the Java files? I am downloading the complete file from Mega, but it is only 91.5 MB

That is correct and it is a larger file.

I have copied the java of this hybrid into java of .230, and then loaded to phone. Although, I will wait good few days to give final feedback....the preliminary is positive. I feel (it may be placebo :17 that it is a bit snappier with transitions....With .230 pure, I had a delay of about 7-10 seconds going from app screen to home screen. It was not theme related, as I had it on every theme, including stock. With .238 java, this lag is definitely decreased. And this time, Shrink-A-OS, finally deleted sample pictures that I struggled with

....and BerryWeather still doesn't update :17: :banghead: Hopefully Bellshare will figure it out.

I agree with Olta. I am loaded and running. I think it is a touch snappier than .230. I shrunk and got rid of the sample pictures. I am at 45.3 MB which is up a little. No major changes that I can see yet.

I'm a little surprised to hear about the accelerometer lag you had with .230. But that being said accelerometer is controlled by the SFI not the java files so I am little surprised you have seen an increase in speed in this regards.

So which one is everyone installing, the Java file or the complete hybrid? I'm kind of confused on how to install the complete hybrid. Don't you need a base OS installed to use it?

You do need a base OS to install and that would be 230.

Why did the second one say you didn't need .230 installed?

Which second one would you be referring to? I apologize I am unfamiliar with what you are referring too. To my knowledge you will need .230 as a base for Java Hybrid and Lyrics Hybrid as well.

I agree....although it was more of transition from app to home screen...it was weird as I don't believe many others experienced that...I wiped and did a clean install. At moment have only 2 custom themes on the phone, and both of these performed and still do beautifully on every OS...so I was really puzzled.

On the first page of this thread, it lists two hybrid downloads. One says just Java files, the other says complete hybrid. The complete hybrid says you don't need .230 installed. I am wondering how to install it without having .230

I do believe you are referring to the BBC hybrid of .230.
This hybrid of .238 by Xtasy requires that you have the full .230 leak D/L'd to use as a base.

I noticed the speed increase mostly navigating the options screens. I see no difference in the browsing or accelerometer. I did today get the half white screen, so I suspected that was tied to the sfi and would return although I did not see it yesterday.

Today I put on the SoCalMiles Zen Hybrid Redux 5.0 theme and I am now thinkin Storm 2? Why bother? I might just wait for the deeper discounts say like next year... lol

I agree with on on speed...as far as half white screen, I got that on full .230 and also on .191 as well...I would guess it's still RIM ironing out storm's full touch screen capability.

Not trying to sound "noobish" or anything, but this was done with Lyricidal's current rendition of SAOS (3.9)? Reason being, I don't see an option for removing "samples" on there.
