Thread: 9500 5.0.0.216 Findings and Fixes

I am simply AMAZED!!!! great os. fast, responsive, flick scrolling, couple of add ons from the previous 5.0 os. The only drawback is the memory, but.... who cares i got the 5.0! xaxa!

highly recommended!!!!

this os is just perfect, threaded sms, flick scrolling, good memory, all the apps that i use just works great!! i try to find some negatives but can't find anything.

finally some love for the 9500 users

Any camera issues for you guys in this build? Just wondering if .216 is a late enough build to have a working camera.

i hope RIM is going to release a new theme in the official, "precision zen" had its time

Very good. The reason I was asking is that on the 9530 build 5.0.0.191; the camera app would cause a device reset. It was reported that the camera was still broken in some of the earlier 5.0.0.2xx builds as well.

How about the music issue. Does it still claim it's playing a song and yet there's no sound?

no, its playing too loud. the speakers cant handle it

same for the ringtone you have to put it on volume 7/8

Does any one know what this error means "net.rim.device.api.system.ControlledAccessExcepti on" the exception only happens on boot up. I have pulled the battery 4 times and it still pops up before the Security Verifies.

All my apps appear to be working. I looked at all my applications and I am nit seeing errors!

hmmm, that's weird it looks to me that there is some kind of an app malfunction. whitch apps are you using?

No I am not running GMail.

I have tried just about all of my applications and have not received an error, so far!

I can't honestly tell you yes or no, because I have a 9530, but I can say I have not seen any theme issues...

thanks a lot ! any bro in 9500 installed this OS tell me themes custom working or not !.....really appreciate.........

this is no chakachaka os, this is splendiferous.this is the real ting.super fast.customed themes working fine for me. i have no issues at the moment ,no concerns at all.third party apps ok. undawattamatta.... i`m gonna keep this os.Jah bless..RAH
