Thread: 9500 5.0.0.216 Findings and Fixes

A suggestion for you 9500 peeps:

Use max mem to delete the things you don't want...here is the OTA link: MaxMem

...and delete other unneeded things from option>applications...make sure to check all 3rd party/add-on and core. Click no to reboot after each prompt and then just do a nice long battery pull when done. The help file alone is ~11mb!!!

i downloaded this as soon as it came out but only had the chance to install now - long story. Anyway, boot time much quicker. Camera works real nice. Havent had any texts yet so can't check for threaded SMS. Flick scrolling is loverly! Downside is I have no BBM. Didn't check it from apploader and downloaded the 5.0 version but never appears in any folders. I am currently re-installing and will check the box this time but have a feeling is a 4.x version. Ubertwitter .925 works fine. Thanks again for the pointer Olta777!

Browser seems quicker too.

I had BBM 5.0 working fine on 5.0.0.140 OS but .216 will only work with 4.7. Not gonna complain about that though

hmm did a full restore and lost the flick-scroll effect. Re-installing again. Oh yeah insall BBM at intall, it's 4.7 but it works!

same thing, I downloaded it from here an uploaded it. I posted it and changed the name so it would not be obvious. Then last couple times I have posted mirrors with the correct file name they get removed quickly.

ok so re-installed and everything is working fine. BBM 4.7, Camera, browser and flick-scrolling Previously, I did a clean install using crackutil and restored from a full backup. This messed up the media flick-scrolling though everything else seemed ok. Re-installed again and incl the BBM but only restored using Advanced in DM (Address book and Calendar) and now all is good! Loving this OS.
