Thread: 9500 5.0.0.216 Findings and Fixes

does anyone have any problems playing videos? i play a video and therefore it goes to landscape but then when i stop and wanna close the video, the whole screen goes black and doesnt do anything...i cant switch apps...cant do anything....battery pull is the only solution...???otherwise i love it...and the volume doesnt work well in landscape mode neither...any fixes? i've been running this since it came out....

people, i am not sure if anyone asks before, but do you guys notice that the SFI is more than 3 mb larger than average? 140 and 154's is about 14mb while 216 is 17.9mb.

Logically it would be bigger.

but, i checked that of 9530's 230, the size is about the same as previous SFIs.

I hope a newer version of 5.0 drops for 9500

So it is a hybrid? I run 9530 so I am unable to try it out. Let us know if you decide to load this on your phone and how it works out. Thanks

You can actually! running it now...its a lyrical hybrid and if you go to bbhybrids.net they have just created a .238 hybrid for all 95xx!

Its quite simple !! Os 5.0.0.xxx systems for 9500 are riddled with problems. I have yet to see a report where unreserved happiness is the order of the day with an Os 5.0.0.xxx Too many problems !

been using gabriel`s latest hybrid 4.0.7b for two days now.no problems at all. running fine.

Hi there, In terms of my previous issue I had with my browser icon disappearing... Found a fix on a South African forum.

Enabling SBEB Legacy Mode on the storm solves the problem.

How to enable on a storm:
• Go to service books
• In landscape mode hold the !?123 button until it locks.
• Type 4?2? and you should get a message stating that legacy mode has been enabled.

Ive been using .216 since saturday and so far so good. Only problems ive been have is that minimonitor and quick pull is not working. my memory is around 6mb right now and around 20mb after a battery pull but no lag or anything.
