sweet now were in business. Take the 9530-v4.7.0.114_P4.0.0.143 file in the hybrid v3 folder you unziped and copy it. Then go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared and right click on the loader files folder and select paste. It will prompt with options. select overwrite for everything.

If it prompted to overwrite, it worked.
Next, make sure you have your phone with DM.
Then your ready to load the OS on your phone.
Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and select loader (the phone looking icon) and that will install it on your phone.

ok just reinstalled v3 ands working much better but im still fuzzy on how to restore my contact list and such without restoring the entire backup cause i assume it would put me back to the .114 v3 install that wasnt working well as all. also should i be installing the updates dm suggests every time i open it?

Why can't you go to Advanced in backup and just select your contacts to transfer?
