I highly doubt this is true really. When you talk to a verizon customer service, if youre lucky to get one that speaks English and knows what a Blackberry is, then they dont really know shit about what they are talkign about. You ask a question, they type it into a computer and then they go from there.

You guys are talking about rumors now to get chips.... I know you are

But seriously, would they remake and fix bugs within an os version without changing the version number? anybody know
They would have to change the platform number.

You would almost think you would have to try it out especially with that long list that was typed up (especially if it is a different platform number).... all the time we all have spent loading and unloadind and reloading os' it would only take an hour or less to put 114V3 back on it if it didnt live up to any better performance. Personally i'm pretty happy with the hybrid except for the speed of the camera still slow on mine like 2-3 secs.

Hey BlackBerryOS, please forgive me, but I'm going to have a little fun with you....only because I ALWAYS ask to be transferred to an American Call Center when I call for service for anything....they MUST transfer you upon request!

    >VZW NON-English speaking rep: Dear Mr. BlackBerryOS.
Thank you much for contacting Verizon Wireless Supporting of Technical problems. What seems to be the difficulty problem?

    >BlackBerryOS: When's the new OS going to be out?

    >VZW NON-English speaking rep: I is sorry that you not completely dissatisfied with the Burberry World Edition.

    >BlackBerryOS: I have a STORM

    >VZW NON-English speaking rep: Do you need me to call you back when the weather is better?

    >BlackBerryOS: No, I have a BLACKBerry Storm.

    >VZW NON-English speaking rep: Please press dial #228 on your BlackBerry to obtain the latest and bestest Roaming capabilities. This will indeedly upgrade your phone to be newer and best.

    >BlackBerryOS: Can you transfer me to an American Call Center or someone who speaks better ENGLISH?

    >VZW NON-English speaking rep: Thank you for calling Verizon Wireless. Have I answered all of your questions and are you happy with my servicing you?

    >BlackberryOS: You haven't answered ANYTHING, and NO, I'm not happy with your service and I don't want you to SERVICE ME. I don't want to talk to someone in a different country who can't understand a simple question. Please transfer me to an American Call Center!

    >VZW NON-English speaking rep: If you want to use your phone outside of North America, the phone is able to access GSM networks with the built in SIM Card.

    >BlackBerryOS: AAAAAAARGH, You friggin Moron.

    >VZW NON-English speaking rep: Thank you, come again.

hahah. That was hilarious! Its how it really is though!! They dont know anything!!! The funny part is...Im not even lying about this. Their call center is like 10 minutes from me. And down the street from my work. I've thought about walking in to see who they really are but I think they keep their sweatshop underground.

thats my feeling as well. im very happy with v3 of the hybrid and was not happy enough with .113 to reinstall it once it is official. its starting to be frustrating to have to change os so often just to be happy with a cell phone, but at the same time i love installing a new os and playing around with it. damn catch 22's.
