its for the 9530 but u should run straight 230 and wait till lyric releases his new hybrid
no prob
Prince Jah, so I am curious as to why you would like to load this hybrid. It uses an outdated 5.0.0.140 as base :17:
I know lyricidal is getting ready to release his latest hybrid which is base .230 and java of .230/.238/.287. It runs really well. Memory management is wonderful and so I would definitely encourage waiting for it. ;)
Just curious I guess..It sounded ok..I was having some Bt issues with .230 w/238H and d/l to the .151 /7.99 OS but phone is too slow ..bt issues remain and most of my themes dont run well..I think I may just go back to full.230/.238H..What do you think..btw thanks for the quick response:)
Have you tried just full .230? I have tried .230, have also tried .230/.238 hybrid. These 2 are very close to each other and both run well. This new hybrid is really nice too. My honest opinion is .230 is really good at this point that it's almost impossible to make a better hybrid as most phone functions are in the sfi or the OS itself. Java is only the apps. I would encourage trying straight .230, and see how it runs. Then may be just add java of .238 hybrid and run it that way. I don't use bluetooth, so don't know if mine has issues or not. :o
...and no problem...we are here to help. :)
Oh I will try the .230 to see..Do you also get that annoying white screen on the bottom of the phone and certain apps cause the flick to start from the beginning of the contact screen each time you go back and forth..What is the tru purpose of the .238 java folder..I didnt notice a difference when I tried it the first time...since you don't use BT, I guess you couldnt troubleshoot my BT problem that am referring to..Thats kool though..I can do w/out that..
The white screen is a bug in the OS and same with flick....hopefully RIM fixed it in the later builds. White screen can be annoying, but a rotation to landscape and back usually fixes it. The only difference that I noticed between .230 and .238 hybrid is slightly faster transitions. All else is same. :)
So when you say faster trans..Would you recommend adding the .238H to full .230OS..I would just like to do one OS load...This is so time consuming loading these OSs:(
Again..you guys here make it so much easier and well worth the time:)
I tried both...and actually like loading every OS and every hybrid :D
What you can do is just load .230 straight...run it for a little, then just copy java and no wiping on anything, just run loader.exe. Faster this way. :)
Personally I remained on .238 hybrid because of faster transitions. :)
Nuff said:)..I will do what you recommend and call it a day..Do you recall if VAD is working w/full .230?..Ya good....
Ok!. I'll Holla back and report..Thanks again:hail::hail::hail::hail::hail:
Is anyone having trouble with DM and the .230/hybrids. I forget now if I am running .230 or the hybrid but whenever I plug my BB in (or launch DM if the BB is plugged in) it immediately crashes DM. I haven't been able to backup of synch in about a week now.
Any ideas?
Have you tried the basics, rebooting your computer, and a battery pull?
Yup....
Cleared the storm browser catch, reinstalled DM including the 5.0 beta, pretty much everything I can think of.
I may wait for the next hybrid..... drop back to the "official OS" and let loader back it up. If I can get it to resynch I will then do the wipe and load the new hybrid.
