because I am on 5.0.0.230. and when i click the link i get taken to a page that says:

"Notice
Sorry, your device does not meet the system rewuirements that are needed to support Enhanced Google Mail plugin for Blackberry smartphones."

just like any update not officialy updated for 5.0 devices. just like if you were to do and try to download Facebook from the browser and not from APP World. takes you to the same page.

Hey there I know exactly what you mean I had to do the same thing with google sync. I would suggest you start a new thread and post some quick instructions on how someone could help you.

If you want to do it yourself you would have to downgrade to 4.7 and save a backup and then upgrade and load with bbsak.

i will start a new post cause i have a great working install of .230. i hear all these problems a few users are having and i am scared to screw with it. lol.

Okay... I need some serious help... I have been running .230 for about 5 days now but i recently noticed yesterday that when I make or receive calls I'm not hearing anything on the other end but the person I'm talking to can hear me perfectly... Now I'm really hoping that its the OS and not my phone cause this has never happened before... i'm at work so i can't load another OS till I get home so any help would be appreciated.

try booting your phone in safe mode to see if it works. To do that pull the battery and when you put it back in hold the end key down until done

okay...I'll do that Thanks... Forgot to mention that I loaded to updated .230 hybrid Saturday night...

red light just keeps going off and on when i try to boot in safe mode... why is that happening?

I found out why I was getting this error message:

Uncaught exception: net.rim.device.api.system.ControlledAccessExceptio n

I did a fresh install and added apps until I got the error, and the culprit is Pocket Informant. Besides getting the error message, everything else is running great.

Sometimes it is a tedious process trying to find out which 3rd party app is the culprit.

I've read backwards here and I have a suggestion for you to try;

options > status > turn to landscape and open keyboard and type TEST. run through the prompts and you can test your speakers and mike. I would be interested to see if you can recreate your issue

have you tried a handheld wipe? make sure you back up your data first.

Has anyone been able to resolve the music player not being able to skip to the next track when headphones are plugged in. If you try to skip to the next song, it seems to mute the audio. The only way to keep listening is to go back and select the next track you want to play. This is a big issue as I use my phone for music every day. I searched the forum but only came up with one post with the same issue. Help!!

Have now tried 4 times to get 230 to work properly over .191 - was getting very frequent reboots and over night the phone basically shut off and did not charge properly - brought the phone to work and was going to try and use usb cable to charge - now cannot even get the thing to turn on at all. If the battery is completely dead can I only use the charger or will usb cable work as well - any ideas how to get it to boot up???

UberTwitter works well on .230.

My Ubertwitter is working fine, but I get that warning window that says to upgrade. Do you know if that means I will not be able to use the program after the 23rd? That's why I thought I needed to upgrade.

u can upgrade for free, the have a paid one that is ad free but u can still get the free upgrade that still has ads

Looks like .912

That is an older verion.

My suggestion would be to delete that version from your device. You can do this in the same screen that you found your version number. At this point your device will request to reboot. Allow your device to reboot.

Once this has finished, be sure to update you PRL by dialing *22899.

Now copy the link that I have provided for you and mail it to your device. It is the latest OTA download for UberTwitter.

have u tried instead of clicking the link for upgrade going to the ubertwitter site and clicking the download link in the top corner? i just tried this method and was able to get a download

I have ran the tests and no surprise... the headset Audio test where i should've heard sounds failed...

I will wipe and reinstall when I get home later...

Note: I DID wipe my phone when I installed the updated hybrid Saturday night... and up to yesterday afternoon, it was working okay... I'll report my findings...
