Is there a fix for the lightning bolt not showing up in 230?

Ok having a problem, camera is not working now. Did when I originally installed .230 but did the update with a full wipe and reload and now the camera will take the picture but gets hung up in saving..... Also on load it says classmate is invalid? I just am not sure what is going on. have wiped and reloaded twice now.

One more question, the dialing tone volume whrn hitting speed dial is a bit loud. Think it was mentioned. Any way to independantly adjust?

Pull the battery my friend.

That should get you back in the game. Give it a good 60 seconds pull before you put the battery back in.
Be sure to update your PRL roaming capabilities as well by dialing *22899

i'm having a weird issue with my holster. When the phone is the holster and i pull it out the phone is dark and wont start up again for like 30 secs. not a restart but dark then boom my lock screen comes up. any idea of what files control the sleep function? Maybe a fix would be to go with the 5.0 files from a early build that did have that issue.I should add that the issue only happens when i keep the phone in the holster for over ten minutes.

I'm having the exact issue. Dark screen, buttons lit up like Christmas. Stays lit up for a long time. After it goes dark, you can hit any button and it acts as normal. Happened when I was running .191 too. Any ideas here folks?

if I do a handheld wipe then I clean off all the present data - if it does not reboot being clean then I still need to restore my data - are you saying that if it starts rebooting then it is in my restored data?

I don't understand what you mean.

If you do the handheld wipe which will remove all personal data, and it still reboots, then it most likely isn't a problem with the backup that you restored onto your phone.

Hi. For some reason my S9 headset will NOT control any functions other than volume(no forward, back, or pause). I tried several battery pulls. I even tried to delete the S9 under bluetooth options but when you hit the BB button, nothing happens. I also tried to add another device but it keep saying(reconnection in progress. Please try again later). Any advice OTHER than wipe and reinstall as i have to go thru a butt load of hoops to re activate my companys BES service. Thanks.

I got BBMaps working with AT&T but it requires some work and not for the faint hearted. If you dont know how to edit XML - do not attempt this. The gist of it is something like this -

1. As per the install instructions once you send service books the map icon is gone (this is because AT&T sends a BB maps service book that overwrites the one from the attachment - see instructions for AT&T Service book elsewhere on this forum or here HowTo:Get All Features (Browser, MMS) Working on AT&T w/Unlocked Storm 95xx - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com)
2. So do this - once everything is working, backup your device
3. Retrieve the servicebooks using backup restore - save the IPD file somewhere
4. Use the IPD editor here (Blackberry IPD and service book editor) to export the IPD to XML
5. Export the ATT ServiceBook attachment from here to XML
6. Manually copy paste the two into a single XML file - and export to an IPD
7. Overwrite the servicebooks on your device with the servicebook IPD in 6.
8. Register your device
9. Do *NOT* resend your service books to the device

I resent the service books from the bis server to update my settings and the server sent me a link to download the plugin. which obviously i cannot download. could someone send me a backup / offline install of JAR/COD so i could do an install from BBSAK or from my memory card? i would realy like the enhanced features. that would be greatly appreciated!

I have looked around and could not find it... or if i could have someone go to the download page that has 4.7 and give me a link to the OTA file i can make it for us my self. I just cant get the link myself cause i dont have another storm.

I cannot help with your issue, I was wondering if you are having any issue with smrtguard, when I open the program the bottom half of the screen is a keyboard cannot get rid of it, have tried switching compatibility mode, downloaded it fresh it was not a restore. Thanks

because I am on 5.0.0.230. and when i click the link i get taken to a page that says:

"Notice
Sorry, your device does not meet the system rewuirements that are needed to support Enhanced Google Mail plugin for Blackberry smartphones."

just like any update not officialy updated for 5.0 devices. just like if you were to do and try to download Facebook from the browser and not from APP World. takes you to the same page.

Can you not restore your data from your computer, do a fresh sync. Download all of your 3rd party apps and do not restore saved settings re-create them. I was having the same problem. You can selectively restore data from you backup, not settings, you could restore calendar (all) contacts (all) browser favorites, you will have to experiment. Have fun!
