    That is an older verion.

My suggestion would be to delete that version from your device. You can do this in the same screen that you found your version number. At this point your device will request to reboot. Allow your device to reboot.

Once this has finished, be sure to update you PRL by dialing *22899.

Now copy the link that I have provided for you and mail it to your device. It is the latest OTA download for UberTwitter.

    I've read backwards here and I have a suggestion for you to try;

options > status > turn to landscape and open keyboard and type TEST. run through the prompts and you can test your speakers and mike. I would be interested to see if you can recreate your issue

have you tried a handheld wipe? make sure you back up your data first.

I have ran the tests and no surprise... the headset Audio test where i should've heard sounds failed...

I will wipe and reinstall when I get home later...

Note: I DID wipe my phone when I installed the updated hybrid Saturday night... and up to yesterday afternoon, it was working okay... I'll report my findings...

Installed 191, then installed 230 on top, once from the original posted download, a second time BBCrackman file (NOINFOB2), and the third time was a charm with the last BBCrackman release (NoInfo1).
Every time during installations 1 and 2, the phone would restart for no reason, I could not get Bluetooth Sync to work in my car with the Microsoft Sync system. Each of the first two times I did a complete restore of all data from the backup.
The Third time I deleted Desktop Manager 5.x and removed the 5.x operating system from control panel, I deleted the folder c:\program files\common files\Research...
I reinstalled DM 500_b028; then I installed the 191 base removed the RIM tools through Control Panel, and then installed the BBCrackman NOINFO1. I did not reinstall any 3rd party apps. I did a backup restore, but only BBM, browser shortcuts, address book all, contacts all. I then used the phone to install my 3rd party apps, Smrtgurard which does not display properly, but does work; Patternlock; Poynt; Quicklaunch; Viigo and Where, I would have like to install MeterBerry but I understand that it does not work so have to wait on that app. No reboots, (other than the recommended 3 reboots prior to installing and data or 3rd party apps. I also used Shrink an OS, and I want to report strong signal phone works great. Since I did not do a complete restore from the backup file, I was able to re-create the Bluetooth Sync with my Car's bluetooth Microsoft Sync product and it works great.

Now my Storm is working the way I thought the storm would work,I have had the phone since December 2008, I am on my second phone.

I am sure that when the 5.xx is ready for release and the Hybrid-izers get their hands on it, well that will be really great.

Many thanks to BBOS and the great contributions from all the members.
    Do you use BES?

    Thumbs up

OK. Been running .230 since last Thursday and updated with BBC's latest on Saturday. It has been exceptional to date.

    1. Very stable and with good battery retention.
    2. Signal is strong and has less drop-off in zones that were difficult with the the other builds.
    3. GPS also seems quicker. Golf Logix work the best yet with this build.
    4. Browser is blazing fast
    5. Camera works well and pics with flash are much faster.
    6. BT works
    7. Voice dial not working but I don't use it anyway.
    8. Boots with 5MB less app mem but it stays there with no leaks so far.
    9. No 3G icon. Still shows 1XEV

All in all, I am very happy with .230 and would recommend it. BBCrackman has done it again.:hail::1244:

Has anyone else had the issue of the back light dimming and then getting bright again over and over on .191 or .230 I am pretty sure I have everything set correctly and cant figure out why it keeps doing that. I s that a known issue with 5.0 or just me?
