either way would work but there is no reason to load the old 230 if you don't already have it loaded.

The hard work you do for all of us is greatly appreciated.

I haven't loaded the latest hybrid yet. I'll get to it first thing in the morning.

One problem I have been having is that I can't use the 'Reset Device' option with the original 230 released yesterday.

Any idea if this one will allow me to use it. If you don't know, no biggie. I will find out out for myself and post my findings.

Again, all the effort you an others put in for the rest of us is appreciated.

I am about to load the new Hybrid. Can I shrink it, or is that a No-No?

The 230 that was released yesterday has been updated. There are 29 5.0.0.191 files, docs to go has been updated, vad and vvm are installed. All 5.0 IM clients have been added. If you were having any issues this OS, this should take care of those.
Also, I have removed language files but they are in the removed file folder in the java folder. Just use Shrink A OS by our good friend Lyricidal to put them back if you need them.

You will need to overwite your exsisting 191 file on your PC, then load to your device. You should not run into issues since this is an update.
But if you are like me I would wipe and reload. But that is just me.

BBCM I have a question regarding voice dialing Im still not able to get that to work with this Hybrid....any suggestions?

no...the sfi file is for 9530 and is not compatible with the 9500

BBCM......how did you get Blackberry App World on your phone? Mines stating that its unsupported OS????

can someone reupload the file?
each time i download it, the file comes out 16.7KB
and i cant even open it. gives the error "noinfo1.exe is not a valid win32 application"

I have BBC new rockin' version of .230 on my phone. Only problem I have is I can't pair or unpair a bluetooth device. Any suggestions?

Did you do your battery pulls? I will check mine. There should not be a reason for that since I did not change any of the bluetooth files

yes, i've done countless battery pulls. its weird because when i turn on my bluetooth Jabra sp700 it says connected, but when i make a call, it doesnt use the jabra unit. however, when i hang up, the unit says"call ended". i cant delete the connection and when i put the unit in pairing mode, my phone will not find it. im stuck :irked:
