I've found a workaround for the Bluetooth issue (this issue was almost a deal breaker for me). I just bought a Jabra, so I'm going to use this example... When the Jabra is showing that the phone is connected, go into your bluetooth options> click on Jabra> Device Properties> change the Encryption to either Disabled or Enabled (doesn't matter which, just change it)> save and close. This should make it possible to to talk and hear on your bluetooth device. Only downside is that this option has to be changed everytime you disconnect/ reconnect your device.

i cant do that when i click on jabra, nothing happens. i think at this point i have to wipe and reinstall and reactivate my bes service after disabling it and re enabling it. i think the settings are screwy, and when i activate bes, it keeps sending corrupt bt settings. does anyone think that is a possibility?

Well, from what I have been working on today I have not been able to reproduce the concern. I too have a Jabra earpiece and have no issues conntecting, disconnecting or re-connecting. I am going to have to say that it is very possible that this could be a corrupt file from your back up. What I would do before you wipe and reload is to do a security wipe and remove all the data and firewalls from your device. Oh yeah, make sure you back up first. Then try your headset and see if it is operational. Then I would do an advanced restore and only choose your messages, contacts and calendar. Then delete the ipd file. Now activate your BES service and see if it still works when complete.

Go to Options/Advanced Options/Service Books and delete all the books that start with desktop. This will kill you BES service on your device if you want to do that. Though a Security Wipe will do the same thing.
