haha yea hes got a point, ive noticed that with 5.0 some icons skinned in 4.7 arent skinned in 5.0 but thats a plazmic update need

True. On the 4.7 Os's the The Ringtone and pictures icons weren't there it was all inside the media. Now that they're seperate they are no longer skinned.

I believe you will have to wait for the 3rd party application builders to catch up with new 5.0 Os's. It should only be a matter of time.

Thank you, that is what I am doing now

I did that and as while as wiped the phone and I am still getting reboots

When you installed the OS did you shrink it first? Also did you use 191 as the base OS?

no i did not shrink and yes i used 191 as the base

edit i just finished wiping the device and that did not solve anything so i am going to try a fresh install
i just wanted some input from you guys on what was going on and if anyone else had experienced this issue

Sorry me too and you had these installed on .230? that could be part of the problem i wuold try loading with no 3rd party apps amd load them one by one see if that fixes your problem. and then some of those are quite large as well

Don't mean to seem lazy but I have never wipe my BB before installing an OS,so I don't know how to do it. Could you post a link where I could get instructions? Also, is the backup you do from DM enough and if it's restored from there will it mess up the OS install?

If you restore from DM you will not harm your hybrid.

so its not the os what else could it be?

So when you go into contacts and hit the BB button do you have the option to edit?

not sure what that means but have you tried to install it with the loader exe and not the DM?

Yeah it wont even download. Once it has completed the download, that is what pops up.

To edit, you have to go into contacts>select BUT NOT CLICK the contact>BB>View Contact>BB>Edit

To add, the number has to either be in the call log, a SMS/MMS or Email.

Sorry if this is redundant. When wiping your BB, also uninstall the OS from your computer from the Remove Programs Menu in control panel. Also if you are doing fresh installs, delete the files from your BB Folder and start super fresh. It may be a bad bug that is left over in the original RIM file. Make sure the back-up file is safe, and then if it you go to install and no-go, try not inputting any backups at first.

Just a thought.
