I think they might be referring to "Blackberry Internal Tools" (Not RIM Internal Tools, in my case...) which is in the add/remove programs on your pc. I hope so anyways, since I just uninstalled it! If I'm mistaken, someone please correct me!

And Do I need DM 5.0? Does this need to happen before i download .230?

I am not sure if you need DM 5.0 but I would definitely download it, to make your transfers easier.

This is wierd but I keep getting Invalid Command parameters "Usage Desktop Manager-record<destination directory for recorded settings>"

Anyone seen this?

Then they may not be installed on your computer. Did you check your add/remove programs after installing 191? If you do not see RIM TOOLS then you probably do not have them.

You'll see the above info in your about page

You can find these in the options menus about section (top of page)
The Radio is 5.0.0.230
Platform is 4.2.0.61

Go to options>applications>hit bb button>select modules> you should see all 5.0.0.230 files

I seem to be having an issue with this install. I hope that someone can help me out here. I removed all phone OS'es that I had installed on my PC and restarted. I installed 191 from the provided link and removed the rim tools. I installed the 230 files per instructions. I then wiped my phone (which was running 191) and it loaded to the 507 no software screen. Now when I try to load 203 using AppLoader I get the following;

"The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator."

Any ideas?
