Then why the overwirte? If .191 is the bease ,and the install is a "hybrid" type. Isn't a just a hybrid with .191 as the base? Not to be disrespectful but seems if .230 were the whole os. We would download like normal....install to pc > remove rim internal tool > back up > wipe and install. thanks for understanding

The reason for the overwrite is these were raw files. No java or sfi. They had to be extracted from RIMs files. So no exe. The only way to put them up for everyone was to create the installer.

The file name will not change correct?

for the 9500?

correct it will say .191 til you load it and your phone will sy other

Its downloading as a zip file. Do you just extract to the .191 loader file?

interesting to say the least. Maybe tonight when i'm home i'll try. The thing is. I like my working apps. So I may still be on V8 tomorrow

is it okay if my .191 is already shrunk with shrink-a-os?

so for those of us with 191 installed with no tools, itsa copy paste load DM and go for it?

ok, so no wipe. I had .191 on my computer (and phone) but it was Shrunk. Wonder if I should reinstall .191 clean and play with shrinking later??

I would start with a fresh copy of 191. You can always shrink later.
