tried shane's suggestion and it still didn't work. I'm running windows vista
Are you right clicking and selecting "run as administrator". The patch I suggested should fix all vista related issues. Also look at these threads as they also address the vista issue and are also known to fix your problem.Quote:

Use BBSAK instead of JL it's much more functional :)
my phone recognizes my phone but I just can't download the file to the computer. Instead of putting the correct icon on my desktop it will put a pic of a white sheet of paper with an arrow on it.

I installed crackutil on my Vista PC 1st try just now and it worked. I always use my XP laptop for my BB fixing lol. Crackutil worked fine ;)
